how does o + 12 work when ttc a boy?

hey ladies read so many posts tonight feel like i know u all! quick question b4 my hub catches me on this! i have been a follower of the shettles method and used opk 4 my 1st pg had sex only on postive opk day.....cd 17 for me and had my lovely son, next time round had sex only on day 15 had my lovely daughter ( had tummy ache on day 17 that time think it was ovulation didnt opk though) now this time want a baby boy......i did my opk from day 14......got my postive result on day 19...this morning to be exact at 8am....again checked at 4pm still had a smiley face...have the ECM too....should i bd tonight? this thing about o+12 has scsared me...if i have missed the exact time what if by 10pm it is past + 12hrs? i just dont know what to do....i love my doll but my hub has only agreed to having baby no3 if we can sway it the boy way.....he loves his girl though dont get him wrong...i know u all understand....PLEASE RESPOND LADIES I REALLY NEED YOUR HELP NO ONE ELSE UNDERSTANDS....i sound like a crazy women ifi brought this up on a coffee morning...... :) LOVE AND LUCK TO ALL M

ok the way the women who are ttc girls do it is to wait until a pos opk the check the cm and cp, when the cervix starts to close and ewcm goes back to creamy they dtd, so i guess as long as the cervix is still high soft open and wet with ewcm you should be ok. ovulation usually occurs 24 hours after pos opk (average i think)

if you bd the night of your first + opk you should be able to avoid o+12 for most people anyway.

make sure to use egg whites with a pH of 9 for bd and baking soda finger or douche and hour before

thanks ladies...me and DH had a conversation yesterday...said he wants to wait until aug to try..think i may just be able to push him to july....thats good for me i guess plenty of time to chart my CM and cervix....not doing temp chk though.....will keep u up dated...and will chk to see the success stories every day.....love this place....dont feel silly asking anything....xxxx luck to all this month....any tips from boy trying moms appreciated...xxxx
