I didn't know to put it here or in gender disappointment but I thought it would be fine here...? 

So, this is what became of that article...

Did the ladies whose screen names she used have to sign a waiver/release?

Pretty shallow analysis.  I don't think she told us that she was going to portray it in such a negative manner... not that I'm surprised.

Yeah, there wasn't much or anything about how supportive we are of each other on here & I found it odd that there were no positive swaying (non high tech) outcomes listed. Some of what was in the article just backs up the reasons that many of us do not seek psychological counseling. To call GD narcissistic as far as "GD about wanting a girl" is a bit off. What is it then for moms who have GD for a boy?

the fact checker called and read two sentences and there is a whole paragraph on me ...TOTALLY UNETHICAL.

I have realized my gender dreams, without some of the difficulty many women have had.  I know the longing... but not the torture.  I still long... but I don't feel tortured.  Many do.  I feel so sad that we can not all just realize our gender dreamns.  :o(

So, to be honest, I have a hard time relating with some.  I don't understand wanting to abort.  I am not against women that feel that way... but I do not understand. 

That all being said, I was really annoyed by the article.  I felt like it was intended to make all women with GD sound crazy and irrational.  I do not feel the author was trying to sound indifferent.  I found it offensive. 

If I felt that way... how must someone truly hurting feel??  I thought it did all of us a disservice.  It made us sound crazy and selfish... and depending on how you take it... maybe just cruel. 

Very sad, to me.  :o(

 the comments are horrible and ignorant...

 OMG I am completely and utterly horrified by this article. This is NOT MY IG that I know and love and out of respect to our members she should have left screen names and real life names out. I am sorry to see this article portaying IG the way it is 

 it shoud be interesting to see the type of people who will be coming on in the next little while after reading this article. fun! ( enter sarcasm)

This article was pathetic!  I've not suffered from GD and I was offended by how she portrayed it.

The only thing that I can hope is that women reading the article with GD will see beyond the authors misleading conclusions, come to IG and seek help from those that have been through it.  I think that what she underestimates is the number of women (and men) who feel GD and never speak of it.  Hopefully it will still reach those who need it the most.

Hugs to every one of our friends who were mentioned and slandered as a result of the article.

 i am completely stunned!!  i don't even know what to say.  i'm so sorry for all of those she wrote of w/o permission-to invade one's thoughts & lives like that...utterly apprehensible!!
