Okay, so here is my problem...

I am ttc a girl and have been on the girl diet and have been taking cranberry, peppermint tea, and calcium every day. I plan to do TBM with O+12. On the 26th my cervix was high and very soft, and I had some EWCM. I had only started taking my BBT a few days before, but it had been the same pretty much everyday until the 27th, when it shot up. We did TBM on the 27th, and decided to go off the cranberry on the 29th because I know it can cause m/c. Here is the catch...I had been using OPKs and they had been negative all month. I assumed I was just drinking a lot and my urine was diluted. I took one this morning and it was negative again, but I just took one a few minutes ago and it was +! What should I do!?!? I really want to get pregnant this month, but at this point I don't know what to do...should I go back on the cranberry? Is it too late to get my ph back down (it is up to like a 5.5 since being off the cranberry)? When should I TBM?  Also, what about the peppermint tea? should I keep drinking that? PLEASE someone tell me what to do, I'm so confused!

I wondered about OPK's too today, I was told to go with the OPK's results , that O is coming fast. O changes from month to month, as I am finding out. Not sure what to do about the cramberry or peppermint tea, I am not using them to conceive a girl. I think you jsut caught the beginning of your surge also, and you BD'd 3 days ago, so if you O within 36 hours that'll give you a 4.5 day cut off, Maybe you should try a O + 12......I am also not taking temps. so I really don't know how to answer that part of your question. i think I am rambling, I hope I helped a little???.......

I also want to add that I used two different kinds of OPKs...how many days will an OPK be positive after ovulation?

Yes, thank you, that does help, and you aren't rambling! I can take all the help I can get! Are you ttc a girl? If so, what are you using? It is just so hard to tell exactly when you are going to O...I know most OPKs say that you will probably O within 12 to 36 hours, so when am I most likely to O? If I am going for O+12, when should I TBM? I just wish there was a test that was more exact you know !

An OPK will return to a Neg. so it will not stay + after O...... go to     peeonastick.com

 I am TTC a girl, I am using Cal/mag. supplements, drinking crystal light, no caffeind for DH or I, girl Diet for me, it's hard to get DH to be totally involved, no caffeine for him was a miracle. I was using timing also, but I kinda threw the towel in on that, since I really just want to be pregnant, I am going to be 41 in Jan. so my clock is really ticking. I would think that as soon as you get a +OPK you would go forward 36 hours, then ahead another 12 hours, then BD. I am only guessing......hopefully someone else will verify this. I don't temp due to getting up at nights with my little one, so I rely on OPK's and as soon as it turned + this time we BD'd. So hopefully the swimmers were waiting for my egg when it hatched, and then hopefully one of them could fertilize it......I hate this, I blissfully got pregnant without even trying with both of my boys, it's so hard when you are trying, knowing everything, and still getiing BFN's

I also check CM and CP, and if you practice it can be a very helpful "tool" in knowing when O is near.
