MS_IUI_Newbie:I did not ovulate until CD 28 (the cycle after the m/c). I usually O on day 19 or 20, and am currently waiting for it again in the current cycle (on CD 15 now!). HTH! That DOES help. I usually O around the same time - CD18 to CD20, but I get signs of O at least 4 days in advance, and so far no signs at all. One more question for you: Did you O at the right time the following cycle? Thanks!

Well, I'm now in the second cycle after the m/c. It was very strange when I conceived b/c I O'd on CD 8, right at the end of my first AF after weaning DS2. I was taking my temps and saw the spike, really fertile quality CM, etc. I took a PG test and it was positive on CD 19. On CD 27 the spotting started, and then on CD 28 a full m/c (confirmed by docs).
This was my first experience with this. So I counted the day of the m/c as CD 1 of the next cycle, and I O'd on CD 28 then. I always have a 10-day luteal phase, but now I'm practicing with OPKs (not just temping) so I can add another element to pinpoint O. I'm also practicing in advance of MS/IUI in March Currently, in the second cycle after m/c and no signs of O on day 15, but that's normal so far. GL!

indigoviolet:I didn't have a chemical but a 'missed' m/c, I am on my first cycle following and I'm sure that I O'd yesterday and that would have made it CD 28. There is no way AF is due any time soon (I can't feel anything, normally cramping etc) so I'm assuming it was just late and hopefully will resume ok next cycle. I didn't mind it being late, I'm just glad that I O'd, it is always a worry. I know how you feel as this has been a really really long month for me. I really hope it gets back to normal for you, I'm sure you will O soon. Wishing you loads of luck getting your BFP,
x So sorry about your m/c! I only knew I was pregnant for 2 days and it has been hard. I can't imagine being pregnant for a couple of months and then losing my baby! I hope you get a BFP/sticky bean soon too!

have you been using opk? I'm jealous! Wish I could O on time/early! Yep, I've been using opks, and I usually get my first +opk on CD16. So far nothing and it's CD19. [:'(]

How long ago did you first start the process of signing up for MS/IUI? I don't know much about it, but I know DH would never go for it unless we couldn't conceive naturally. Plus we are in Texas, very far away from either location! I'm jealous, though! Wish I could do it!

I filled out all the paperwork (that I had GIVF mail me after filling out an online form at www.microsort.com), and then discovered I needed to send it to HRC in California b/c they were the only location doing IUIs. So I sent it in in July, confirmed with Kelley that we were on the waiting list, and then we scheduled a phone consult for November b/c I want to do IUI in March. I am in Texas as well, but we're going to treat it as an anniversary trip of sorts that we didn't get to take this year. Hopefully we can get travel arrangements coordinated well around ovulation Oh, I also met with a MS Collaborator (Dr. Gill) here in Houston in July. He recommended MS/IVF, but I'm still going to give IUI a try. I will use his office for "local monitoring" though.
